I believe that building human-like intelligence is not only foolish but harmful because:

I don’t want our machines to be human-like. I want them to be disposable. With no fear, no instinct for self-preservation, and to be viewed with suspicion. Constantly monitored, measured, and controlled.
Forget human-like intelligence. Reject the idea of “friendly robots” — it’s an illusion. They don’t have our biological legacy. Embrace the fact that machine intelligence is a parallel, and alien, path of our own making.
This outlook will lead to safer roads, less dissonance, and faster cycles.
